Er hat mich schon auf unzähligen Trips begleitet und ist im Grunde mein mobiles Zuhause auf dem Rücken.
Auf dem Foto fallen direkt die Flaggen-Patches ins Auge. Ich habe ganz am Anfang meiner Reisen mal damit angefangen, ein paar davon aufzunähen – wie Jordanien, Myanmar oder Thailand. Bei den vielen Ländern, die ich mittlerweile bereist habe, ist das natürlich nur ein kleiner Bruchteil, für alle hätte der Platz wohl auch gar nicht gereicht! Trotzdem hängen an jedem einzelnen Patch richtig gute Erinnerungen.
Wenn man genauer hinsieht, merkt man auch, dass der Rucksack schon ordentlich was mitgemacht hat. Ich musste im Laufe der Zeit schon selbst mit der Nadel ran und ein paar Flicken nähen, weil der harte Reisealltag seine Spuren hinterlassen hat.
Viele würden sich wahrscheinlich längst ein neues, supermodernes Modell holen. Aber ich bringe es einfach nicht übers Herz, das Teil auszutauschen und gehen zu lassen. Dafür steckt in den ganzen Schrammen und Nähten einfach zu viel gemeinsame Geschichte. Solange er zusammenhält, bleibt er mein treuer Begleiter auf jeder Tour.

In the photo, the flag patches immediately catch your eye. At the very beginning of my travels, I started sewing a few of them on – like Jordan, Myanmar, or Thailand. With the many countries I have traveled to in the meantime, this is of course only a small fraction, and there probably wouldn't have been enough room for all of them anyway! Still, really good memories are attached to each and every patch.
If you look closely, you can also see that the rucksack has already been through a lot. Over time, I had to use a needle myself and sew a few patches because the harsh daily travel routine left its mark.
Many would probably have bought a new, ultra-modern model long ago. But I just can't find it in my heart to replace it and let it go. There is simply too much shared history in all the scratches and seams. As long as it holds together, it will remain my loyal companion on every tour.
Ich persönlich schwöre auf einen Kofferrucksack wie meinen. Der große Vorteil: Man kann ihn wie einen Koffer komplett weit aufklappen und muss nicht blind von oben alles durchwühlen. Durch die Aufteilung in ein praktisches Bodenfach und ein großes Hauptfach lässt sich das Gepäck von vornherein genial strukturieren. Ebenfalls wichtig: Ein höhenverstellbares Tragegestell, damit der Rucksack perfekt auf dem Rücken sitzt.

- Kompaktes Packmaß: Sie lassen sich extrem kompakt zusammenrollen und belegen kaum Platz.
- Hohe Saugkraft: Saugen Wasser perfekt auf und trocknen danach blitzschnell.
- Geruchsneutral: Am Abreisetag landet kein feuchtes, muffiges Handtuch im Rucksack.
Classic terry towels are the ultimate opponent in a backpack: they are huge, heavy, and take forever to dry. Instead, I always have ultra-light microfiber towels in various sizes with me:
- Compact size: They can be rolled up extremely compactly and take up almost no space.
- Highly absorbent: They absorb water perfectly and dry lightning fast after use.
- Fresh packing: This way, no damp, musty towel goes into your backpack on departure day.

In vielen Hostels oder einfachen Bungalows ist Platz im Badezimmer Mangelware. Ein Kulturbeutel zum Aufhängen löst das Problem fehlender Ablageflächen:
